Eurobike Award for Focus Izalco Max Disc
Ultra-light with disc brake! Focus made its mark at the Eurobike 2015 with the Izalco Max Disc. With its frame weight of 790 g in size 54, it is one of the lightest racing bikes in the world, without any detriment to rigidity and comfort suspension. “In the future disc brakes will be considered indispensable in bicycle racing. Focus not only adopts this trend, but also breaks new ground in terms of weight, which renders the former disadvantages of disc brakes on racing bikes less significant,” reasoned the jury.
Seven jurors rated 500 new bike releases for 2016 and thus more bikes than ever before. The impressive models were assessed by Jens Klötzer (Tour Magazin), Karen Eller (Mountainbike Pro/Die Rasenmäher) and Daniel O. Fikuart (aktiv Radfahren), among others.
