Cervelo S5 MTN Qhubeka and Shop Review by Neal De Roche

Just got my new MTN Qhubeka , S5 Di 2, – full package—- here in Singapore from Bike n Bites, great service and an absolute  pleasure dealing with them.

Let me just say that cycling has changed for me ! Even though I have only been riding for 2 years now.

What a bike ! super smooth, the handling is phenomenal and I have felt a significant difference in less output at higher speeds, big time.

I have only ever had an entry level bike before, never being a great bike handler and usually keep with the group but with a lot more effort than most. So my take was , what have I got to lose let’s get something that is top notch (saved up for 2 years) and took a leap after reading every review of every bike and pretty much a professional by now on bike facts,  eventually managed to get my hands on the MTN S5 version – the result is pure pleasure and I have only had it 5 days and rode 3 times. I might just start riding twice a day if I can !

This morning our little hill which we all have a little spurt turned out to be pure pleasure and so much easier than before , perhaps because I came from an entry level bike before (which climbed very well by the way) but who cares the difference for me was amazing. I used go around corners like an old granny at the best of times , hell, not now ! It felt so great, now I know what they mean after reading all those articles when they reflect on pushing the bike into the corners.

I feel great , can’t stop smiling and just loved the way it felt form the first ride ——took me a few kilometres to feel the change compared to my old bike and since then just been great. I have not had to change or adjust a single thing and Paul at Bike n Bites was spot on re bike fitting.

I was always anxious about purchasing something out of my league – but so glad I have and look forward to grow with it.

Simply – an awesome machine !
