Fast fast fast! After a hiatus from the Cervelo TT family, I finally took the plunge and got the latest P5 disc. I’ve ridden many TT bikes including the original P3C prototype, this so far is the best and feels awesome. A big part of the “buy” was the disc brakes, having had 2x accidents due to cars doing silly things and brakes not been up to the task it was a no brainer.
I have now had the bike for about 4 weeks and raced both the City60 and Xiamen 70.3. Both races I felt like I was flying. Xiamen was my first every 40km/hr ave in a bike race, I know it’s a fast bike course, but when I look at my power numbers on similar terrain there was more speed. I also came off the bike feeling great, which setting up for a quick run and a Kona slot.
The other quick plug is the bike box Allen aero case which made a big difference, as set up and packing were done in 15min with no stress.
It’s been an awesome 4 weeks city60 and Xiamen on the P5 and Taiwan KOM on the R5, I feel v privileged.
Thanks, Paul and the Bikes and Bites team
Plus big mentions to my Super Mechanic Joshua the BikeSmith, the maestro of bike fit Dave Greenfield, my team 4T2 and my partner Andrea.
